Job Description
As a Clinical Medical Assistant, you will provide essential clinical and administrative support, enhancing patient care and operational efficiency.

  • Deliver direct patient care under the supervision of a provider, including vitals checks, allergy/medical reconciliations, screenings, patient histories, health maintenance, advance directives, and virtual health support.
  • Support indirect patient care activities, including scheduling, check-in/out, referrals, chart preparation, and prior authorizations. Conduct point-of-care testing, ensuring quality control and accurate documentation.
  • Perform administrative responsibilities and cover front desk duties as needed.
  • Assist in various offices based on operational requirements.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program, OR an active CT CNA, EMT, Paramedic, or Medic Certification, OR relevant experience as required.
  • Certified BLS Provider credential from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire or job transfer date.
  • Maintain all required credentials throughout employment.

Experience:

  • If education is not met, at least one year of experience in direct patient care (acute or ambulatory setting) may be considered.
  • Preferred relevant experience or MA externship in a busy medical office.
  • Ability to perform EKG testing.
  • Experience in Cardiology/Electrophysiology is a plus.
