About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to provide strategic financial leadership and stewardship of all fiscal operations. The CFO will be responsible for developing, managing, and monitoring the annual budget in compliance with state and federal requirements, as well as providing financial forecasts, analysis, and reporting to the Superintendent, Governing Board, and stakeholders. This role involves overseeing all accounting operations, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, and compliance with auditing standards. The CFO will also be involved in procurement, inventory, and risk management, and will have a key role in facilities and capital projects, including financial oversight of maintenance and improvements. Applicants for the CFO position at the company should have a Master's degree in a relevant field or a CPA, with a preference for those with experience in public school auditing and business administration. The role requires a candidate with a strong background in financial leadership, budgeting, accounting, and auditing, as well as experience in public school district operations. The CFO will also be responsible for staff personnel management, professional development, and cross-training within the department. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in a management role within a complex, computerized environment and must hold an IVP fingerprint clearance card. The position demands a professional who can effectively support the Superintendent and Governing Board on fiscal policy and long-range planning, and who is committed to upholding the company's values and supporting its mission.
