About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) to provide strategic and operational leadership for its healthcare facilities. The CAO will be responsible for overseeing the performance of a 59-bed acute care hospital and a 120-bed skilled nursing and subacute facility, with a focus on driving performance across clinical, financial, and operational domains. A clinical background, particularly in nursing, is highly preferred to support leadership across care settings. The successful candidate will be expected to ensure the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective care, foster a culture of collaboration and excellence, and drive performance in line with the company's mission and values. Key responsibilities include building strong relationships with physicians, employees, and community stakeholders, leading the development of a high-performing administrative team, and championing initiatives to improve patient satisfaction, clinical outcomes, and operational efficiency. Candidates for the CAO position at the company should have a minimum of ten years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare or facility management, with a proven track record of operational excellence and strategic execution. A bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required, and a master's degree is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate will have experience in post-acute care and for-profit healthcare settings, and be adept at working within unionized environments. Leadership skills and competencies should include effective communication, a focus on quality and safety, financial acumen, and the ability to lead through change and uncertainty. The role offers a unique opportunity for advancement, as the selected candidate may have the potential to assume the CEO position upon successful performance in key areas.
