Position Summary:

Agfinity propane mountain drivers safely and efficiently deliver propane to residential, agricultural, and commercial customer tanks throughout the Colorado Front Range Mountains. This position requires safety compliance, mechanical competence, positive customer service attitude, clear communication skills, and a can-do mindset. $28.00 - $35.00 per hour. Hiring pay rate is dependent on experience.

Essential Functions:

• Safely operate a manual or automatic transmission CDL-B propane delivery truck in on-road and off-road conditions, in all types of weather.
• Safely deliver propane into customer tanks
• Effectively utilize a Windows tablet with company delivery order software
• Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, product inventory, and other billed services.
• Maintain frequent communication with Energy dispatch.

Other Duties:

• Occasional yard maintenance and office upkeep
• Basic truck/equipment maintenance projects
• Assist office with paperwork/customer reviews as needed.

Education:

• Minimum HS Diploma or GED
• CDL class A/B with clean MVR. HazMat, Tanker, Manual Transmission, and Air Brake endorsements required.

Experience:

• Minimum two (2) years CDL driving experience required.
• Experience with Hazmat bulk liquid delivery is preferred (LP, Petro, Chemical or equivalent) but not required.
• Experience with mountain driving in all weather conditions strongly preferred.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Safely maneuver a propane truck in a variety of situations, inclement weather, night, traffic, and through tight spaces
• Mechanical aptitude (after training) to identify and/or repair basic problems with truck or equipment.
• Understanding of safe driving practices in snow and ice conditions

Reasoning Ability:

• Critical Thinking Skills : Think Safety First! When confronting a problem, a willingness to ask questions, gather relevant information, think through solutions and conclusions, consider other options, and make decisions based on the results.
• Situational Awareness: Safe and Steady! Knowing where you are and what is going on around you, staying alert and informed as your environment changes, and making decisions based on that information.
• Problem Solving: What is the right thing to do? Utilize facts and experience to resolve problems, in some cases without the immediate assistance of others, and know when to ask for help.

Additional Information:

• Safely navigate uneven ground on foot, including in rain, mud, snow, and ice.
• Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, and stretching
• Pulling out up to 150 feet of fuel hose,
• Frequent climbing in and out of truck
• Pushing/pulling of other equipment/objects as required
