Pendolino is the new restaurant from chef-owner Kevin Maxey, debuting this spring in the Chastain Park area of Atlanta. The cuisine, Roman in spirit, though inspired by much of Italy, is also firmly rooted in the South. There is bar seating along an open kitchen and a wood-burning oven where many of the best things on the menu come from. The menu draws on the best produce, and meats grown and raised by South-Eastern farmers and ranchers to create dishes that are healthful, simple, unexpected and beautiful but not precious. Balance. We love natural wines, classic cocktails and delicious, simple food. We support small businesses, source ingredients and spirits from small producers and wines from independent vineyards.

Who you are: A vital member of the Service team, the Service Assistant role encompasses setting up the dining room, setting tables, clearing tables, pouring water, running food, working with servers and expediters, resetting the dining room, polishing glassware and various tasks that support service at the restaurant.

What you’ll do:

• Consistently support a culture of genuine hospitality.
• Create a welcoming and hospitable environment for guests.
• Possess an understanding of proper steps of service and engage in table maintenance and resetting with efficiency, speed and grace.
• Stay informed and knowledgeable of all menu items and proper mise to accompany each dish.
• Maintain the high standards of cleanliness and proper appearance throughout all areas of the restaurant.
• Demonstrates an eagerness to continue to learn and grow.
• Perform additional responsibilities as needed and other duties as assigned to support team objectives and operational success.

What we need from you:

• 1 year experience in a full-service restaurant role preferred, but not necessary
• Ability to walk or stand for long periods of time
• Ability to balance & carry multiple plates, glass racks and or/glasses, and lift objects up to 30 lbs.
• English fluency and additional languages preferred, but not required

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Salary: Up to $8.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
