Job Summary:

As an Accounting Specialist/Bookkeeper, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial health and compliance of our clients. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling accounts, and assisting with financial reporting. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work closely with clients, apply your accounting expertise, and contribute to the success of businesses across various industries.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Bookkeeping:

• Record financial transactions accurately and promptly using accounting software.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records for multiple clients.
• Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial documents.
• Ensure proper coding and classification of expenses and income.

1. Accounts Payable and Receivable:

• Process invoices, payments, and receipts in a timely manner.
• Monitor accounts receivable to ensure timely collection and follow-up on outstanding invoices.
• Handle vendor inquiries and resolve payment discrepancies.

1. Tax Compliance:

• Prepare and maintain records for sales tax, payroll tax, and other applicable taxes.
• Assist in the preparation of tax returns and provide necessary documentation to tax professionals.

1. Client Relations:

• Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, serving as a trusted financial advisor.
• Communicate financial information clearly and effectively to clients.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting, preferably in a public accounting firm.
• Certified QuickBooks
• 3+ years of experience
