\nThis position contributes to Starbuck’s success by delivering and supporting Supply Chain Technology Initiatives, and is primarily responsible for building, enhancing, and supporting enterprise-scale products spanning across various Business Functions, including Supply Chain Planning (Supply, Demand & Replenishment) & Product Data Mgt.
\nAs an application developer senior, you will collaboratively identify, design, develop and deploy technology and process solutions establishing key business capabilities and platform features, enabling the realization of strategic initiatives and operational improvements. This role requires deep technical expertise, domain proficiency, platform depth, and leadership. Typical activities include requirements analysis, solution design, technical development, and process improvement coupled with the ability to drive efforts and solution improvements effectively across various IT and business functions. In addition to delivering new technology and enhancing/supporting existing systems, an effective application developer senior contributes relevant technical, functional, and process expertise, negotiates and drives alignment, and coaches and mentors less-experienced developers. \nAs an application developer sr you will…
\n· Leverage established design patterns and standards to develop solutions at scale for business problems.
\n· Participate in activities related to requirements gathering and functional specification.
\n· Participate in Solution Design, Architecture Reviews, and Core Platform Enhancements
\n· Ensure software development standards are met by participating in engineering reviews with the team.
\n· Mentor engineers and establish best practices to shape engineering culture.
\n· Collaborate with team members to recommend new software development technologies and development processes.
\n· Conduct root cause analysis on production issues, resolve them, and mitigate their effects.
\n· Fulfill responsibilities for on call support, including potential coverage of pager rotation.
\n· Contribute to the development of teams' knowledge bases for existing and ongoing work.
\n· Contribute to large-scale projects and programs in both waterfall and Agile Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) processes and methodologies.
