Description Reporting to the Animal Care Supervisor I, the Animal Technician, performs routine animal husbandry tasks at the operative level. The responsibilities of an animal caretaker include daily husbandry, health monitoring, cage changes, and support for research protocols. The Animal Technician also performs animal husbandry tasks for various species, including cleaning, watering, feeding, and grooming of laboratory animals following guidelines of the Departmental SOP and the “Guide for the Care and Use of Laboratory Animals”.
